When to go:

When the Levante is blowing. Specially suitable for Freestylers.

The Levante here blows on-shore. There is a river entry with really flat water. Many kids come here to train their un-hooked tricks.

It can also be a good spot for beginners as the sea is quite shallow for some good 20 or 30 meters. Thus, the water will be only up to your waist for a good while.
If the Levante is around 35 to 40 knotts in Valdevaqueros, here you can expect 18 to 25 in palmones and a bit more steady.

Distance from Tarifa town:
A 50 minutes trip. You have to drive to and pass by Algeciras. Once you pass the city turn right at the first Centro Comercial Los Barrios (Shopping Mall) exit. Follow the Palmones beach brown signs.

Prohibited areas:

To ride here in Summer is banned.

Parking facilities:

You can leave the car right at the spot, but there is not that much space.
